 A native of Philadelphia PA,
Jim Powell has spent the last 10 years traveling
the world seeking out different cultures and different life experiences.
While always interested in photography, it was during these travels that
his interest in photography really took off and he learned to develop his
skills as a photographer. He hopes, through his work, to inspire
others to travel the world and expose them to a life outside the bubble
of existence in which so many people get caught.
Once Powell started getting his work published, he realized a potential
to turn his passion into a profession. His interest in photography
expanded from mostly landscape and travel shots, into portraits,
weddings, and also live band photography where he combines his passions
of music and photography.
Powell's stuido is based in San Diego California, but can be found anywhere in the country either opening exhibitions of his work in galleries, shooting weddings, or just traveling and seeking out new areas to shoot.
